We carry on a 75-year Texas tradition of long arm quilting and sustainable farming.

Family, Farming, and the Art of the Stitch

For nearly 75 years, our family has been working this land. It started on Leonard’s grandfather's original acres and has grown into a sanctuary for natural living and fine craft right here in the heart of Texas. We believe that the most meaningful things—whether it is a beautifully finished long arm quilt or a heritage craft made to last a lifetime—require patience, hard work, and a lot of respect for the old ways of doing things. Our goal is simple: to provide our neighbors with exceptional quilt production and beef that are as honest as the soil they come from.

Award-Winning Artistry Rooted in the Land

From the Houston International Quilt Festival to Your Home

Cathy Cox of 2 Car Studio brings a world-class touch to the quiet charm of the farm. Recognized at the prestigious Houston International Quilt Festival, Cathy utilizes precision tools like the BERNINA Q Series and designs from OESD and Amanda Murphy to transform fabric into fine art. But her craft is about more than just ribbons; it is about the community. For years, Cox Family Farm has been a trusted name for honesty, sustainable practices, and a welcoming spirit. Whether we are finishing a quilt top or providing fresh farm goods, our goal remains the same: to serve our neighbors with excellence and treat every project like a piece of our own family history.

Farming the Natural Way

Healthy soil makes for healthy beef
We don't use pesticides or GMOs on our farm. By focusing on the health of the soil first, we make sure every pound of our grass-fed beef is packed with the nutrients and flavor that only nature can provide, ensuring a legacy we can pass on.

Raised with Respect

Pasture-raised without hormones
We believe animals should live like animals. From our cattle grazing freely on wide pastures, we give our livestock plenty of space and a natural life. By letting them grow at their own pace without hormones or unnecessary antibiotics, we produce premium grass-fed beef that you can feel good about putting on your table.

The Long Arm Quilting Studio

Preserving your stories in fabric
Tradition at the farm extends from the fields into our sewing studio. Cathy Cox, an award-winning quilter and 2025 Houston Livestock Show Blue Ribbon winner, leads our long arm production. Whether we are executing an edge-to-edge quilting design or crafting a custom T-shirt quilt to save your memories, we put the same care into every stitch that we put into our harvest.
